Is Facebook Anti-Catholic? Anti-American?

Without warning, Facebook has removed Catholic pages from their social media network. According to ChurchPOP, there are at least 26 confirmed Catholic pages that have been removed.  Please read the original post from ChurchPop here. So much for Facebook’s neutrality. I get that Facebook is a private company. I get that they can kick off anyone they want. I find it extremely disturbing that Facebook is so anti-first amendment and so anti-Catholic. I hope this is just a huge misunderstanding. I hope Facebook apologizes and reinstates all the Catholic pages it removed. In the meantime, there is a new social…

I Have Declared Love on the World

Today throughout the world people are being persecuted for their faith. In America, religious freedom is on trial. Anti-Christian groups dominate the social media and if a Christian stands up for his faith, he is threatened with loss of income or even death. Mainstream media promotes, perpetuates and escalates the hate, as if to add gasoline to fire, just for higher ratings. I remember a story about St. John Paul II and I’m really not sure if this is true or not, but it was the inspiration for this collection of memes. One day during the Nazi occupation of Poland,…

A Little Pick Me Up

When I need a little pick me up, this is my go to video. I know that Jesus warned us about the anti-Christian hate towards us and that to remember that they hated him first. With all the hate and lies flying around the internet, I needed a little pick me up and this video does it every time. “Dear friends, may no adversity paralyze you. Hillary’s Tweet, Bill’s RFRA Law and The Misinformed Supporting the #BoycottIndiana

On March 26 Hillary Tweeted “Sad this new Indiana law can happen in America today. We shouldn’t discriminate against ppl bc of who they love.” Did she forget that it was her husband that signed into law the federal The Religious Freedom Restoration Act in 1993? Did she also forget that it passed almost unanimously? In President Clinton’s remarks at the signing ceremony for The Religious Freedom Restoration Act he said, “We all have a shared desire here to protect perhaps the most precious of all American liberties, religious freedom. Usually the signing of legislation by a president is a…

Ten Conversation Changers to Avoid Confrontation during the Holidays

When my Grandma was alive we had this list of subjects and people you could not talk about at family gatherings. The list was not written down but everyone knew what could be talked about and what must be avoided in order to keep peace. The list was long and included names such as the Kennedys and O.J. Simpson. My Grandma passed away several years ago and with the addition of family members’ spouses and friends, the list no longer applies. I used to think that every family had a list of things you couldn’t bring up at family functions…
