Chicago Candlelight Procession to Honor 100 Years of Fatima – OnePeterFive

Yesterday, I received an email from Father Joshua Caswell at St. John Cantius parish in Chicago. They have an event coming up this weekend and they want to “fill the streets of Chicago” in honor of Our Lady. “This Saturday, May 13th,” he writes, “in the streets of Chicago, thousands will peac Source: Chicago Candlelight Procession to Honor 100 Years of Fatima – OnePeterFive

Mariah, Cultural Marxism, Planned Parenthood and Obama Builds a Wall

Mariah Carey Mariah Carey’s earpiece didn’t work on New Year’s Eve. So what. Not sure why people continue to talk about it. So she did or didn’t check the earpiece before the show. Malfunctions happen all the time. This is no big deal. Nobody was hurt, nobody died. If you were going to complain about the performance, why not complain about her outfit? We all now know what she looks like naked. I do not need to know what she looks like naked. Children, who stayed up late to watch the show, do not need to know what she looks…

The Tale of Two Want Ads

In Chicago I recently came across two want ads, one was hiring people to promote the Republican candidate and the other to fighting against the Republican candidate. If you want to know why so many Americans are angry, it is because they are sick of special interest groups using lies, fear and bullying to steal our freedoms away. Progressives/ Democrats continually sell fear and hate to get votes. I know this statement sounds laughable since Trump came on the scene, but remember he is coming from the Democrat party. I’m not sure if he really is a Republican now or…

March For Life Chicago

Chicago: January 17, 2016 It was a crisp cold Chicago Sunday afternoon. The temperature was 2 degrees F with a wind chill between -16 and -20. It was a great day for a march, not because I like the cold but because anytime you have such a heinous crime against humanity, like abortion, every day is a good day for a protest. I made sure I dressed appropriately. I wore 3 pairs of leggings, 2 pairs of PJ bottoms and a pair of sweatpants. Bending over was nearly impossible and getting my socks and boots on was a small miracle….

The Passing of Cardinal George

Francis Cardinal George went home today and I will truly miss him. Although I had the honor to meet Cardinal George, we were not friends. What I mean is, I didn’t know him on a personal level and we didn’t hang out or anything like that. However, I love Cardinal George and pray for the repose of his soul. He was the most brilliant man and I will miss his homilies and writings, I am so glad he is not in pain anymore. He went through so much physical suffering. Awhile back there was a meme produced by Word on…

My Take on the Election Front for 4/8/15

Chicago Yesterday in Chicago, we had the mayoral election. Mayor Rahm Emanuel won his second tern beating out challenger Jesus “Chuy” Garcia. This is no surprise. What surprised me is that Garcia received 44% of the vote. This guy is a career politician who pointed his finger at Emanuel for being a career politician. There was so much wrong with his campaign I could go on and on but there really is no point since he didn’t win. I would cringe every time I heard him speak and do not believe that anyone that cared about the city of Chicago…
