72 Virgins and The Boston Marathon Bomber: Why I Don’t Think He Should Get The Death Penalty

So I’m sure you know already that Boston Marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was convicted on all charges. Now, the 21-year-old waits on the decision of whether or not he will be executed for his crimes. I say, NO don’t do it. Do not give him what he wants. After all, aren’t they promised 72 virgins in heaven for killing non-believers? Wouldn’t we just be giving him what he wants? I have to admit I’m against the death penalty no matter what. Still, for those who are for the death penalty, I say why give him what he wants? Instead, make him stay in jail for the rest of his life. Give him vitamins, healthy food, exercise and the best doctor’s care so that he lives a long, LONG life. Living for him would be far worse than dying. We don’t want to make this guy into a martyr.

Remember the guys from Rolling Stone magazine that put Tsarnaev on the cover? Perhaps to help pay for Tsarnaev’s jail stay, we could make them clean the shoulders of the highways on the weekends. Just a thought…

The Roman Catholic Church is against the death penalty. To be honest, I hope Tsarnaev repents and converts while living a long life, in prison. Although I’m a Roman Catholic, I’m not an authority. To understand the Church’s position on the death penalty, please click here.

Update- Jury sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to the death penalty for his role in the deadly 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. I’m sure Tsarnaev’s attorney will appeal.
